The Double Barrel is perfect for a no-fuss hitching. Bring your celebrant and photographer and your nearest and dearest and get hitched in our beautiful retro chapel space.
A staff member will be on hand to provide assistance and serve ice cream and hot chips to your guests (charged at regular prices). Get some iconic snaps of the loved-up couple eating creamy scoops in our aesthetic shop.

Start off with a beautiful, short & sweet ceremony hosted by one of our matrimony specialists, captured on film by Em Jensen, then treat your guests with all you can eat ice cream, a selection of our delicious canapes - all made in house, followed by a disco party in the chapel-turned-dancefloor.
A DJ will spin disco tunes while you and your guests get funky with unlimited prosecco, wines, beers & non-alcoholic options.
Go extra, and upgrade to a Full Cocktail package for $40pp and we’ll work with you to create a bespoke offering that encapsulates your dreams!

Alongside that you have the freedom to choose fun extras, like an ice-cream wedding cake, or all-you-can-eat ice cream & hot chips. You’re absolutely welcome to go all out and make the space your own!

Intimate Wedding Venue
Our beautiful ice cream shop offers intimacy in a place you will remember forever. Our space is recommended for smaller groups of up to 30 guests for short and sweet marriage ceremonies - giving the perfect excuse to cull that guestlist at one of Melbourne’s most unique venues for small weddings!
If you want to hang around, we can host the reception too, with DJ’s and disco lighting - you and your guests can get those dancing shoes fired up with a retro cocktail in hand.
What you get:
THE VENUE:
- Access to our sound system to play your curated Spotify playlist.
- Kenny Lover staff on hand to assist and serve your guests.
- Some seating provided in the chapel (up to 8 chairs)
- Disco light and some decorations grace the venue, you are welcome to organise extra furniture, floral arrangements or decorations as needed.
MORE INFO
- The maximum number of guests is a guide, which we recommend to cap at about 30 (you can squeeze more in at your own peril, we've done 40 before).
- If you wish to decorate the chapel, this can be done prior to the event, please get in touch to coordinate this. We have an archway available that a florist can decorate, plus provide a few seats toward the front for elderly guests. The space is gorgeous as-is, but you're welcome to make it your own. Please ensure any confetti is biodegradable.
- We are a kid and dog friendly space, though we ask for any family members of the furry kind to be on a leash at all times.
- If you would like alcoholic options available to your guests please let us know. We have a selection of drinks we can have on offer.
